I went to Yoshi's Japanese Restaurant for lunch today. I had salad, miso soup, katsu (pork) curry over rice, and green tea. Just like Japan!

I haven't heard from the publisher in Illinois that I did some freelance work for in a while, so it doesn't look that I'm going to get steady work from them. That's too bad. I am, however, helping out a friend of mine who started a company called One Page Studio. I don't expect that there'll be much money involved, but it's interesting being able to contribute to a company in the very early stages.
Also, I recently had a problem with getting paid a dividend by a company called FireOne Group that I own a few shares of. They didn't seem to be helping me much, but once I posted my concerns on Yahoo's stock message board for their parent company, they suddenly became very responsive, and now it looks like I'll get my dividend. Oh, the power of the Internet!
I'll be sure to visit ComFest this weekend. I hope the weather holds up.

I just saw the movie A Prairie Home Companion. If you're a fan of the radio show, you're sure to enjoy the movie. I kind of grew to like the radio show by osmosis, being that WCBE is the only radio station I listen to. My favorite charaters in the movie are Dusty and Lefty, the singing cowboys, played by Woody Harrelson and John C. Reilly. Their song with the bad jokes is hilarious.

I was so tired tonight, but I had a really good workout. It seems like I have my best workouts when I least expect that I will. Maybe it's the whole "overcoming adversity" thing. Or maybe it's just because I had an extra Clif Bar and an extra cup of coffee before I started.
I resisted for as long as a could, but I've decided to join the craze and start a blog.
Recently I ran the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon in 3:18, and I'm trying to talk myself into running the Columbus Marathon in October. I've had some pretty good workouts lately, so as long as I stay injury free, it seems likely that I'll run it.
Also, I recently started to do some freelance copy editing for a publisher in Illinois, so I'm excited about that. In addition, I'm currently reading the novel Gojiro by Mark Jacobson. Next up is Hitching Rides with Buddha by Will Ferguson.
This weekend I'll be sure to make it down to Festival Latino to listen to some of the great live music.
